BURGER & LOBSTER RESTAURANT
Gaysorn Plaza, Chidlom, Bangkok
At the exit of Chidlom BTS (Skytrain Station), the walkway connecting Gaysorn Village (Shopping Complex), I see the sign Burger & Lobster and got curious checking out this London based famed restaurant in Bangkok, located on the road level at Bangkok’s prime shopping center Gaysorn Village, opposite the revered Erawan Temple.
The General Manager (GM) – who also look after the other restaurant next to it called “Noname Steaks Seafood Tapas”, warmly greets me and introduces the menu at the restaurant with a warm ambiance, tastefully trimmed in a riot of colors dominated by red and black.
The menu suggest, and as I am briefed by my host, that this eatery is focused on and specialize in prime burgers and serve wild, fresh Canadian lobsters, stored in a water tank in the restaurant premises. The signature steamed whole lobster is cooked in herbal spice topped with thick mushroom sauce and cheese. Another favorite for tourists is the Tom-Yam lobster served with spicy, creamy tom-yam soup.
The burger is equally popular and gourmands rate it the best in town. A thick juicy Nebraskan beef patty is sandwiched between cheese, fresh onion, tomato, cucumber and lettuce is served with french fries and a bowl of fresh salad.
Later, try one of the delicious drinks from the menu including fruit punches like the signature Berry Cooler. Also, choose from a variety if tea, herbal, coffee, classic drinks and mocktails.
When holidaying in Bangkok for Christmas break, don’t miss the “Christmas Burger, starring stilton and caramelised onions and a never seen before Mince Pie Cheesecake.”
