Located out of the center of Bangkok, it is easy to find the restaurant near the Royal Embassy of Cambodia (and next to the Jazz Hotel) at Pracha Uthit Rd, Phlabphla, Wang Thonglang (Bangkok).
I get the visit visa to Cambodia at the Royal Embassy of Cambodia on the same day and there couldn’t be a better place to spend an hour or so at this eatery with a pleasant ambiance – surprisingly beyond my expectation.
The friendly manager, khun Vanida (Jam) Photiphiphattarakul along with the creative Chef khun Noom introduced the menu that mainly comprised a variety of traditional Thai dishes with a few Chinese favorites.
We agreed on Chefs recommendation and tried the signature platter:
Yellow Curry with prawn and coconut, the popular prawn and galangal shoots in coconut soup. served with organic brown rice.
There is not much choice in desserts but the one served – an eastern-Thai delight, moderately sweet and yummy – something that I had tasted the very first time.
The iced Orange Thai-Tea is the House Specialty, an appetizing, very refreshingly enjoyable drink.
For a different and yet authentic Thai culinary experience – this restaurant is a must-try on your visit to Bangkok. *****
Access:
Take the Metro train from a Metro Station (Not the BTS station) from center of Bangkok and get off at the Thailand Cultural Center Metro Station. From here, take a Taxi to Cambodia Embassy. Its a busy road so a Motor-bike taxi can be the best option.
